Time to go buy gifts for your ex!

Where am I going with this one? Well, if you have young children who have no ability to get a gift for mom or dad. Then I propose that it’s your duty to “help” your kids to get a gift or make one for someone that your children dearly love. O.K. your ex is evil and a plague put upon this earth etc., etc.. Doesn’t matter to me for your kids are best when they have a happy healthy relationship with both mom and dad. If they don’t, then I urge you to move heaven and earth to try and help your children to have one. Another situation that at the very least ask yourself if you love your children more than you hate your ex?.

After years of battles for me and candidly no end in site. I do love and thank the mother of my children endlessly(she probably doesn’t realize this) for together we have the two most incredible children in the world. The rest doesn’t really seem to matter when I can keep this perspective. Admittedly, I’m not the best at this philosophy. I do try every day to utilize this thinking and with time it has come easier and more natural.

Regardless, the reaction of my kids to my helping them is worth every second.

  1. I am very moved by your story. I commend you for being a good example to your children in showing kindness and love, in spite of "______" whatever the reason, it doesn't really matter in the end.

My ex took the kids to buy a couple of gifts for me. I was so surprised and humbled.

Thank you KingDad for sharing your story.
