Neil Armstrong is not worthy of historical note?

Even with younger children either not in the schooling process or early into it. Have you looked at your states educational curriculum? Should you have questions and concerns about what your children will be taught. The time to question what is being taught to your children, is not when your children bring home their text books. For then it will be too late.
Here in Texas I couldn't help but notice as an example that Neil Armstrong is being eliminated from the curriculum. Which makes sense since from the perspective of historical figures and accomplishments. I mean what did he really do anyway?. He was only the first man to walk on the moon, no biggie..
